Title: Pet groomer (Dogs & cats)

Terms of Employment: Possibility of full Time, Weekend, Day, Evening

Salary: To be negotiated, Commission

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Bridgewater, Nova Scotia

Skill Requirements: Must be able to deal with difficult dogs or cats. Must be artistic. Must be able to work independently. Must know and understand the different breed standards. Must be able to deal with the public with a friendly and positive manner. Must have a high standard of work ethics. Must be able to work under pressure. Must have high organizational skills

Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training

Credentials: (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Pet groomer course(cats and dogs), Liability Insurance,

Experience: Experience is an asset

Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

Work Setting: Pet grooming shop, Retail pet shop

Type of Pets Groomed: All breeds of dogs, Cats

Pet Grooming Experience: Bathing/shampooing, Anal glands treatment, Clipping and styling, Ear cleaning, Flea baths, Nail clipping, Show clipping, Teeth cleaning

Animal Care Experience: Domestic animals/pets (cats, kittens, puppies, dogs, etc.)

Weight Handling: Up to 50 kg (110lbs)

Additional Skills: Keep records of animals treated

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Job task planning and organizing, Continuous learning, computer skills,
